Instruction for configuration Mitsubishi Electric FX5U PLC as Modbus/TCP Server (Slave)

1. Create a new project for FX5U.

2. On the left side project tree open Parameter -> FX5UCPU -> Module Parameter -> Ethernet Port.

3. Add the IP address of FX5U and Subnet mask. (Note that the IP address of PLC needs to have the same number of the subnet as your PC or another device which are connected to PLC).

Press <Detailed Setting> on External Device Configuration.

4. Drag Modbus/TCP Connection to the blue line near the picture of PLC. And press Close with Reflecting the Setting.

The result will be:

5. To see a relation between Modbus Device № and Device inside FX5U press - <Detailed Setting> on Modbus/TCP Setting - Device Assignment.

The next window will get opened:

6. Press Check and then Ok if No error found.

7. Press Apply to save the settings.

8. Press Rebuild All on the tools palette.

9. And download the program to PLC. Restart CPU. The connection will be established automatically:
