# Mitsubishi Electric FR-A800-E Modbus TCP Configuration

**Instruction for configuration Mitsubishi Electric VFD FR-A800-E as Modbus/TCP Server (Slave).**

{% hint style="info" %}
Detailed instructions are described in [**A800-E / F800-E ETHERNET FUNCTION MANUAL**](https://dl.mitsubishielectric.com/dl/fa/document/manual/inv/ib0600628eng/ib0600628engc.pdf)
{% endhint %}

For established FR-A800-E in ModbusTCP mode, you need to set the next parameter into VFD.

1\) In **Pr.79** - set value **6**.

2\) In **Pr.117** - set **117**.

3\) In **Pr.340** - set **10**.

4\) In **Pr.550** - set **5**.

5\) In either of the parameters from **Pr.1427** to **Pr.1429** set value **502**.

6\) In **Pr.1432** - set value **900**.

7\) Set the range of **ІР address** from which will be possible to receive commands to FR-A800-E. Enter values into parameters from **Pr.1449** to **Pr.1454**.

8\) In **Pr.1455** set value **1000**.

9\) Restart the VFD.

10\) Change the mode of VFD to **NET** by using the **PU/EXT** button.

Please remember that **Unit identifier** for VFD is reserved by number **255**.

Below is an example of a message structure for the **H03** function (Read holding register).

Below you will find a number of Modbus registers to control VDF.

For example, to run a motor you need to paste **2** - forward rotation, or **4** - reverse rotation, to the register **40009**.
